About
I am a PhD student pursuing my doctoral studies at the Netherlands Cancer Institute and the University of Maastricht. My primary research focus revolves around the precise definition of a near-complete response following neoadjuvant therapy for rectal cancer. Under the supervision of Prof. Regina Beets-Tan and Dr. Monique Maas, I am currently engaged in multiple projects related to the Watch-and-Wait Strategy for Rectal Cancer. My academic journey began with a Bachelor's degree in clinical medicine from Central South University. Subsequently, I embarked on an academic path, completing my Master's degree in Surgery at Sun Yat-sen University. During this time, I conducted several experimental research projects in the domain of gastric cancer. Driven by a deep-seated passion for making a meaningful impact in the realm of oncology, my overarching research goal is to address critical clinical challenges and contribute to improving the lives of cancer patients.
