Melda Yeghaian
About
Melda Yeghaian is a PhD candidate at the department of Radiology at the Netherlands Cancer Institute and Maastricht University. Her research focuses on the application of Artificial Intelligence in cancer prognostication, response assessment and patient follow-up. She is working on integrating various types of noninvasive diagnostic data to investigate the added value of multimodal learning in addressing challenging clinical questions using machine learning and deep learning techniques. Melda studied her bachelors in Informatics Engineering at the University of Aleppo in Syria. She completed her double joint masters in Dependable Software Systems, focusing on Software Engineering at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, and Artificial Intelligence at the University of St Andrews in the UK. She joined the Beets-Tan group in 2019 and has been working with various PIs, including Stefano Trebeschi and Zuhir Bodalal. She is currently part of Stefano Trebeschi’s research group and the prognostic monitoring research line.
