Currently, I am in my 4th year of Biomedical Engineering at Polytech Marseille in France. I wanted to learn more about artificial intelligence, which seems to be a promising technology for the future, so I decided to start a 3-4 months internship under the supervision of Stefano Trebeschi in the Radiology Department of the Netherlands Cancer Institute. My thesis is about AI-Based Response Monitoring in Gastroenterological and Pancreatic Neuro-Endocrine Tumors. The goal of this research is to train an AI model to segment this type of cancer to know with the least error its volume. This AI can thus be used to determine whether an anti-cancer treatment is effective or not on a patient with more accuracy.
