Throughout my Biomedical Engineering studies at the University of Coimbra, particularly during my master's thesis, I developed a keen interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based algorithms and their contribution for personalized healthcare. Following the completion of my master's thesis, I decided to delve deeper into this field and embarked on an internship at the Radiology Department of the Netherlands Cancer Institute, under the guidance of Wilson Silva. My research is focused on the application of AI algorithms and models to assist in breast cancer diagnosis. Specifically, I am exploring the significance of radiogenomics in predicting breast cancer outcomes.
