About

I am a Radiologist with a keen interest in abdominal imaging, currently undertaking a one-year research fellowship at the Netherlands Cancer Institute. I hold a Master's in Medicine from the Medical University of Sofia, Bulgaria, and completed my residency at University Hospital Saint Ivan Rilski in Sofia. I have experience in delivering lectures and conducting workshops for both students and residents at both University Hospital Saint Ivan Rilski and University Hospital Aleksandrovska in Sofia. Additionally, in 2016 I co-founded the association of young Bulgarian radiologists called "Radiology Together", and since then I have been actively involved organizing seminars, meetings, quizzes, and other educational activities to foster learning and solidarity among residents. I have also had the privilege of broadening my horizons through international experiences. I undertook a Research Fellowship at the Abdominal Imaging Department, UPMC Pittsburgh, USA, and participated in an Abdominal Imaging Fellowship Exchange at Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital, The Netherlands Cancer Institute. These opportunities allowed me to observe clinical practices and actively engage in research at these esteemed institutions. I am an enthusiastic participant in events and workshops organized by the European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology (ESGAR), as well as the European Society of Radiology (ESR) and European School of Radiology (ESOR). My career is dedicated to advancing the field of abdominal imaging and radiology, encompassing clinical practice, research, and education.
