Antonio Portaluri
About
Antonio Portaluri was born and raised in Italy. After graduating in Medicine and Surgery from University of Messina (Italy) in 2019 he started his Radiology residency at the Department of Biomedical Sciences and Morphologic and Functional Imaging of University of Messina starting from January 2021 to the present. As radiology resident he showed interest in breast imaging with a main focus on breast MRI, multiparametric US and interventional procedures. Since June 2023 he is a visiting research and clinical Fellow in the Radiology Department of the Netherlands Cancer Institute in Amsterdam under the leadership of Ritse Mann. Here he is collaborating with PhDs and Postdocs from the BIG (Breast Imaging Group) on several projects with the segmentation and interpretation of MRI, mammography and breast CT examinations. Additionally he plays a role in the European Society of Radiology (ESR) as a Member of the Radiology Trainee Forum for Italy and as a junior member of the European Society of Breast Imaging (EUSOBI).
