We are proud to share that today, on the 22nd of January, Kevin Groot Lipman successfully defended his PhD thesis, titled Artificial Intelligence: The Key To Standardizing Respiratory Disease Evaluation, at Maastricht University.

The work in the thesis focuses on extracting relevant information from CT scans with AI to improve the accuracy and consistency of diagnoses and follow-up evaluations of patients.

The first author chapters in the thesis on prospective validation of the asbestosis model and a novel proposed way of evaluating tumor growth in pleural mesothelioma are under review / in preparation, and they are not yet available online.
